RIDE THE REINDEER SHUTTLE AT THE MALL THIS DECEMBER!![]() posted on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 The Pee Dee Regional Transportation Authority (PDRTA) Reindeer Shuttle will provide Saturday service between Magnolia and Florence Malls between November 27 and December 18, 2010. The shopping shuttles were first implemented in 2008 and have been very popular in helping relieve traffic congestion during the busy holiday season. According to PDRTA Executive Director Janice Baroody, "Traffic is always so terrible during the holidays and the Reindeer Shuttle make it so much easier for people to park and do their shopping." And this year, the colorful green and red trolleys will have boxes for anyone who would like to make a donation to the Manna Home Food Bank. Baroody continued, "At PDRTA we like to do our part for the community and this year we are offering free rides to anyone bringing a donation for the Manna Home Food Bank." In addition, on Saturday, December 11th between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. PDRTA will be at the Florence Mall Piggly Wiggly with music, prizes and special appearances by Mr. Pig and Rudy the Reindeer. Make a donation to the Manna Home Food Bank at the display and enter to win a holiday basket of goodies. The Reindeer Shuttle will run between the Florence and Magnolia Malls every 30 minutes between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. each Saturday until December 18.
