PDRTA HONORS EMPLOYEES AT ANNUAL CELEBRATION![]() posted on Wednesday, December 08, 2010 At its annual End of Year Celebration on Friday, December 3, PDRTA presented its annual awards. PDRTA Board Chairman and Executive Director Janice Baroody presented the Employee of the Year awards. First Place winner was James Simon, 2nd Place was Sandra Paige, and 3rd Place went to Delaine Ford. Employee of the year winners are selected from the previous 12 months' Employee of the Month winners. PDRTA's Employee of the Month program is open to all full-time, hourly employees who are nominated by their peers or supervisors based on their exceptional performance. Each winner received a trophy and a check. Safety & Training Manager Benny Mullins presented the annual Safety Awards. These went to Roosevelt Graham Jr., 1st Place; Freddie Davis, 2nd Place, and James Bostic, 3rd Place. Safety Award winners are selected based on their accident/incident free performance, miles driven, and adherence to PDRTA's safety policies and procedures during the previous 12 months. Each winner received a trophy and a check. Don Strickland, Transportation Manager, gave the awards for Best Uniform. First Place went to Charles McRae, 2nd Place went to Preston Dixon, and 3rd Place went to George Washington. Best uniform awards are given to one driver from each of PDRTA's 3 areas. Candidates are judged on their professional appearance, neatness, and adherence to PDRTA's uniform standards. Each winner received a plaque. Human Resources Director Billy Bundy presented Service Awards. Five Year certificates went to Daniel Adams, Samuel Fields, Roosevelt Graham Jr., Angela Isaac, Regina McElveen, Sonya Mullins, Kay Osbourne, and Harry Watson. Ten Year awards went to Clarence Galloway, Linda Gilchrist, and Jeremiah Williams. Fifteen Year awards went to Michael Bell, Joann Dukes, and Goldie McBride. 20 Year award was presented to Willie Jane White; and Terry Carraway received a 25 Year certificate.
